In the old days, people used the resources that were available. It led to the invention of many useful solutions in terms of tools, connections, etc. Today, such solutions are often hidden or even replaced. One of these ingenious inventions of the past is the wedge. Used to secure or clamp something in place, it was, and still is, a simple, practical solution. It would be a shame to let its remarkable beauty disappear. Mariëlle van Swam has used the wedge as a connection in a range of outdoor furniture, reintroducing it as a visible solution.
